KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior Design Manager will attend, and chair design team meetings with the Client, the sub-consultants, specialist contractors and the internal design team.
- The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for the efficient project, team and external partners/ sub-consultant management, pre and post-contract.
- The Senior Design Manager will take ownership of multi-disciplinary engineering design delivery on major projects.
- Managing, agreeing and tracking of RFIs, client decisions and approval procedures, ensuring submissions align with client expectations.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- The Senior Design Manager will have demonstrable experience as a Design Manager on large-scale building projects.
- Will hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent in building services, mechanical, electrical, civil or structural engineering.
- Will hold a professional membership with a relevant industry body such as CIBSE, the IET, ICE, IStructE or IMechE.
- The Design Manager will have a good technical understanding of engineering disciplines and an awareness of the financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget.
