Job Description
Have you managed large M&E projects and are looking for a company that can help you deliver excellence in your projects, engagement in your career and give a real feeling that it looks after its staff?
Aylin White has been retained by an international construction services leader for their UK building services arm to find an M&E Project Director. The organisation delivers high profile commercial, commercial-led mixed use, defence and healthcare work for repeat clients, mainly in London, but across the south of England with M&E values between £15-100m.
The M&E Project Director will lead a high performing project team through PCSA, pre-construction and onto site delivery, working either with an external main contractor or with the internal construction team to ensure first class cradle to grave project delivery. You would be one position below the Leadership Team, but the expectation is that you aim to join this team over time as the role is being used for succession planning. The role would suit an established senior M&E project manager or M&E project director who has delivered mechanical and electrical projects with a total value of £20m or more. The person can be either mechanical or electrical by background, but must have a multi-service understanding (there will be a strong Senior Project Manager from the other service below). The right person can come from any sector, but a positive would be the ability to demonstrate some London commercial office experience.
The M&E Project Director is an opportunity to step into a grown-up environment with clear progression, an understanding of work-life balance, strong governance and ethics, and a desire to look after and nurture staff. You will help to shape the future of the business. For this, the salary is £100-125k base plus benefits including an industry-leading bonus scheme. You are also encouraged to involve yourself in personal development and training.
