A leading London-based M&E contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £400M is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their high-performing commercial new build division. Known for delivering major landmark projects, the company has built a reputation for technical excellence, strong client partnerships, and consistent delivery.

The business is currently delivering a £30M&E commercial new build project in Central London and requires an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to take full responsibility for the mechanical package. This is a high-impact leadership role, offering autonomy, visibility, and long-term development opportunities within a major M&E contractor.

  • Lead the full mechanical package, ensuring all work meets the highest technical, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all design, engineering, construction, and commissioning processes, driving best practice across the project.
  • Provide clear and regular progress updates to the Project Director, ensuring alignment on milestones.
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, main contractors, and wider engineering teams.
  • Ensure high-quality installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all mechanical systems.

Proven experience running multiple £10M+ M&E commercial new build projects through the full lifecycle. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services within large-scale commercial environments. Demonstrable leadership experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors. Excellent understanding of procurement, project controls, installation methodologies, and commissioning processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced project environments while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or industry-recognised certifications.
