Due to an increase in project wins and a healthy order book already in place for the next twelve months, we are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the Central London office of a very well-established Built Environment Consultancy.

  • Well-established Multi-discipline Building Consultancy who are going through a period of major growth across all disciplines.
  • Healthy order book in place for the next twelve months with projects throughout London and the South East.
  • Projects include data centres, retail, education, major residential and commercial buildings.
  • Flat company structure with hands on Partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Building Surveyor will carry out building and measured surveys.
  • The Building Surveyor will ensure buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards as well as writing up specifications, obtaining estimates, planning maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work.
  • The Chartered Building Surveyor will be analysing and reporting on building defects and preparing schedules of dilapidations.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

  • Ideally Degree or Equivalent Qualified in Building Surveying.
  • The Building Surveyor will be MRICS Chartered.
  • The Chartered Building Surveyor will have experience of handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the preparation of drawings and specifications for remedial work.
  • Working knowledge of UK standards.
  • The Building Surveyor will have over four years of Consultancy experience and have worked on a range of projects within the built environment.
