Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Manager to join our logistics company in Oxfordshire. This role will be based in the transport department, working across the office, yard, and warehouse.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-6 pm
Salary: up to £36,000 (DOE)
Duties:
- Being responsible for all vehicle routing throughout the day and in the evening for the following day, ensuring that all routes are achievable and fit within the boundaries.
- Being responsible for all vehicle maintenance, working time directive initiative, and all laws.
- Providing support to drivers and supervisors and being the first point for day-to-day queries.
- Being responsible for H&S, carrying out risk assessments, and taking part in briefings.
- Covering for both day shift and back shift periods, ensuring that all deliveries and collections are collectively scanned and labelled.
- Communicating with various people within the business, responding to clients, depots, and internal staff.
- Being proficient in using internal systems and Microsoft packages.
Requirements:
- Transport Managers CPC
- 3 Years of experience within transport/vehicle management
- HGV driving licence
- Strong leadership qualities
- Competent in all Microsoft packages
