Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Manager to join our logistics company in Oxfordshire. This role will be based in the transport department, working across the office, yard, and warehouse.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-6 pm

Salary: up to £36,000 (DOE)

Duties:

  • Being responsible for all vehicle routing throughout the day and in the evening for the following day, ensuring that all routes are achievable and fit within the boundaries.
  • Being responsible for all vehicle maintenance, working time directive initiative, and all laws.
  • Providing support to drivers and supervisors and being the first point for day-to-day queries.
  • Being responsible for H&S, carrying out risk assessments, and taking part in briefings.
  • Covering for both day shift and back shift periods, ensuring that all deliveries and collections are collectively scanned and labelled.
  • Communicating with various people within the business, responding to clients, depots, and internal staff.
  • Being proficient in using internal systems and Microsoft packages.

Requirements:

  • Transport Managers CPC
  • 3 Years of experience within transport/vehicle management
  • HGV driving licence
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Competent in all Microsoft packages
