Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for an experienced Import & Export Admin to join our Distribution client based in Buckinghamshire.
Hours: 9 am-5 pm
Salary: up to £30,000
As an Import & Export Admin, you will have a wide range of duties that deal with each step of the shipping process, including tracking shipments and communication with clients about the shipments' progress.
Duties:
- Making sure that all customs entries are correctly processed in time using correct procedures and tariff codes.
- Proactively resolve any HMRC/Border Force-related queries/problems.
- Making sure that all imports/exports are correctly declared, ensuring that nothing compromises our authorisations and permissions.
- Ensure the control sheet, shipment status, and progress are recorded as events happen.
- Maintain accurate filing & archiving of all Import & Export records.
- Ensuring full compliance with all documentation and all HMRC/Border Force updates, systems, or manuals.
- To assist the Manager in compiling internal audits on all areas of compliance.
- Liaising with Customers and Airlines, answering all telephone and email enquiries.
- As required, chasing airlines and agents on the clearance of goods and any payments that need to be made.
- Arranging collections of Air Freight from Airline/sheds.
- Tracing & Tracking Import & Export Airfreight Shipments.
- Adhere to and follow all HMRC & Border Force's legal regulations in order to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience working within a customs-controlled environment or an Import/Export department.
- Understanding and knowledge of the Importation and export of goods to and from the UK and all customs systems and procedures.
- Great communication skills.
- Your own transport due to the location.
