PositionKey Accountabilities

• Integrate within our multi-disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions to clients
• Interface with other engineering disciplines including civil, M&E, and structural
• Communicate effectively with clients and senior staff
• Manage a challenging workload
• Be a team player with a mature approach and first-class interpersonal skills
• Adhere to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations
• Represent and promote ByrneLooby professionally and develop effective relationships with clients and potential clients
• Manage projects in compliance with ByrneLooby\’s Integrated Management System (IMS)

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years\’ experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment
• Achieved Chartered status
• Degree and ideally a master\’s in chemical, process, or environmental engineering

Skills & Knowledge

• Deep understanding of water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment principles
• Proven experience in developing process solutions in industrial and municipal settings, in accordance with Irish and UK standards
• Experience in process selection, design, application engineering, proposal, and operational support
• Experience in developing the full cycle of treatment processes from concept to detailed design
• Experience in preliminary and detailed design of water/wastewater treatment plants based on provided data and treatment criteria
• Ability to develop equipment and plant layout drawings, PFDs, and P&IDs
• Ability to perform process mass balance, hydraulic, energy, and mechanical calculations for detailed design
• Ability to understand complex problems and conceive innovative solutions
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and external agencies
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and industry updates
