Contribute to the management of and develop the work of the environmental permitting team. Support and manage existing clients and identify and source new work and clients. The work is office based but will involve site visits and attendance at meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and develop the team's multidisciplinary work and manage the preparation of work and junior team members.
- Support junior team members to help their development.
- Engage with existing clients.
- Develop new clients and identify and win new work.
- Provide a technical lead to support the team and other teams within the organisation.
- Prepare quotes and invoices, support and manage projects, including management of more complex projects.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills necessary to work as part of a team and to engage with clients and regulators.
- Excellent time and organisational skills allowing completion of work to time and budget.
- Support junior members achieve the project objectives to time and budget.
- Take responsibility for project delivery, use initiative and work without supervision.
- Continue to develop technical knowledge including identifying and attending relevant training.
- Provide training to junior team members and other teams within the organisation.
- Understand client interaction and maintain clients and develop new clients.
- Excellent written skills.
Essential:
- First degree in a relevant Science or Geography or Civil Engineering.
- Good IT skills especially MS Word and Excel.
- A minimum 10 years relevant experience.
- Excellent knowledge of permitting and how permitting and other regulatory frameworks interact.
- Detailed understanding of environmental risk assessment tools e.g. LandSim / H1.
- Have good knowledge of EMS and QMS.
Desirables:
- Relevant higher degree.
- Chartered Membership of a relevant Chartered Institute.
