Role Summary
Plan and Deliver the Future of Water Infrastructure. At Ayesa, planning excellence drives successful delivery. Our Water Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled P6 Planning Manager to lead the development, coordination, and control of project programmes across major design and build schemes. You will ensure that complex projects are planned, monitored, and delivered on time and within budget.
The Opportunity
As a P6 Planning Manager, you will work closely with the Water Director, Design Teams, Commercial, and Project Management Teams to create and manage detailed Primavera P6 programmes for infrastructure and utility projects. You will play a key role in risk management, progress reporting, resource planning and ensuring programme integrity across multidisciplinary project portfolios.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, project and commercial teams to ensure accurate progress tracking.
- Prepare progress reports, resource planning, critical path analyses, and scenario modelling.
- Identify and communicate programme risks and mitigation strategies.
- Support tender programmes and bid submissions with realistic and competitive timelines.
- Ensure compliance with client reporting requirements and contractual obligations.
- Lead programme review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Recruit, train and mentor junior planners and project teams on planning best practice.
- Drive continuous improvement in programme management and reporting tools.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Experience in the UK Water or Utilities sector.
- 10+ years' experience in project planning within the infrastructure or utilities sector.
- Expert user of Primavera P6 with proven ability to manage complex programmes.
- Strong understanding of NEC contract planning requirements.
- Experience supporting large-scale D&B or framework delivery programmes.
- Strong understanding of 4D planning and scheduling (Desirable).
- Experience in collaborative planning and facilitation.
