What You Will Be Doing:

  • Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients.
  • Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable.
  • Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client’s brief.
  • Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented.
  • Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative.
  • Assisting at tender stage of projects.

Requirements What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 1-year design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Skills & Attributes:

  • A first degree (minimum 2.1) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
  • Masters degree in geotechnical engineering or similar is preferred.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
