Ayesa is looking for a Senior Track Engineer to join our dynamic team in Farringdon, Central London. You'll drive high-impact projects from concept through to construction and help grow our Major Projects engineering capability in the region.

What You’ll Be Doing
As Senior Track Engineer at Ayesa, you will be working to deliver high quality track engineering projects across the UK and Ireland. Using your technical expertise, you will support the design teams in producing designs for a variety of track projects across Network Rail, Transport for London, HS2, and Irish Rail infrastructure. Working towards CRE level, you will ensure the designs produced are fully integrated and compliant to all relevant standards, and ensure that all work procedures and CDM requirements have been followed throughout the process. You shall possess a strong knowledge of track engineering principles, including ballasted track, slab track, and S&C. In addition, it is anticipated that you will get involved with training and mentoring of junior staff and support in bidding exercises for new work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality track engineering across a range of projects, working towards becoming a CRE or equivalent.
- Work with other design disciplines to ensure full integration of the designs.
- Produce technical reports, engineering management plans, and technical queries.
- Attend IDC’s / IDR’s and other meetings with internal and external designers.
- Complete assurance related activities as directed by company procedures, industry standards, or client requirements.
- Undertake on-site surveys / provide on-site construction support as required.
- Support and mentor junior staff.
- Input into tendering exercises for new work.
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Track Engineering.
- Degree, or higher education qualification, in relevant Civil Engineering discipline, and / or professional registration to a relevant technical body.
- Proven experience of delivering track design packages, including S&C, from outline design to detailed design.
- Strong working knowledge of track design software, such as BRT, OpenRail, ClearRoute 2, and track engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of CAD and BIM requirements.
- Knowledge of rail componentry and wider rail system engineering.
- Experience of working on various rail systems, such as high speed, heavy rail, light rail and metro systems.
- Experience of attending site visits and undertaking on-site checks and surveys.
- Line management experience.
