As a BIM Technician within the Building Structures team in either our London or Guildford offices, you will be responsible for producing accurate and coordinated 3D structural models and 2D documentation using industry-leading software such as Autodesk Revit. Working closely with engineers and other disciplines, you will support the design process across all stages of a project – from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage detailed structural BIM models in Revit, ensuring accuracy and coordination across disciplines, using steel, concrete and timber industry materials.
- Produce technical drawings and schedules to support design, tender, and construction packages.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and design teams to integrate structural elements into multidisciplinary models.
- Work to project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and contribute to meeting project BIM Level 2/ISO 19650 standards.
- Assist in clash detection processes using tools like Navisworks.
- Maintain drawing/model issue records and contribute to internal QA procedures.
- Support digital innovation and automation initiatives within the BIM team.
- Proven experience in a similar BIM technician role within a structural engineering or building design consultancy.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for structural modelling – ideally across a variety of building types.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks and BIM 360/ACC is a plus.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, BIM standards (including ISO 19650), and coordination processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- A keen eye for detail, good organisational skills, and a proactive mindset.
- ONC/HNC, diploma, or degree in a relevant field such as Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or CAD/BIM Design.
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g. Dynamo) is a plus but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a BIM environment on UK-based projects.
