Ayesa is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UK, preferably in our London office. You will drive high-impact projects from concept through to construction and help grow our Water engineering capability in the region. Responsibilities:

  • Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development.
  • Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards.
  • Management of the day-to-day work of the team.
  • Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business.
  • Monitors and manages compliance and KPI’s.
  • Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets.
  • Management of engineering outsource partners.

Qualifications:

  • Member of a relevant professional body e.g. IMechE, CIWEM.
  • Demonstrate level of competence in mechanical and instrumentation design in the water/wastewater industry environment.
  • Demonstrate a level of competence in practical mechanical installation experience in the water/wastewater industry environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a similar role in the water and wastewater industry.
  • A good understanding of modular build construction processes and procedures.
  • Experienced in the installation, commissioning and proving of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) systems.
  • Experience of Water, Wastewater and Sludge Treatment Centres.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant standards, regulations and codes of practice.
  • Extensive site experience of water and recycling operations.
  • Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during the project life cycle.
  • An experienced manager of people and teams, developing others, and managing staff welfare.
  • Experience, or a strong understanding of construction, procurement, and commissioning.
