What You Will Be Doing:

Key Accountabilities

  • Reporting to Brownfield Team Principal/Associate Director.
  • Basic understanding of geological, geotechnical, and brownfield risks.
  • Delivery of projects:
  • Basic financial and project management (understanding project finances and working to a budget).
  • Supervise ground investigations and undertake remediation and earthworks validation works.
  • Undertake soil sampling and ground gas / groundwater monitoring.
  • Prepare Phase 1, 2 reports.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other project/business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and operational support to the wider Ayesa business including Brownfield North and South Teams.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • BSc and/or MSc in Geology/Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering/Hydrogeology/Environmental Sciences.
  • Knowledge of UK/EU standards.
  • Clean Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Keen to learn and improve on technical and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills necessary to work as part of a team and to engage with senior management, clients, and regulators.
  • Basic technical understanding of brownfield engineering and contaminated land.
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems.
  • Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations.
  • Excellent time and organisational skills allowing completion of work to time and budget.
  • Is committed to Continued Professional Development and remains up-to-date with current developments in the industry.
