What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Project Engineer - Water, you’ll lead and deliver wastewater and water treatment & distribution design packages across diverse sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead water and wastewater design and technical delivery across project stages
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Prepare and review calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and project requirements
- Oversee project timelines, team resources, and deliverables
- Contribute to proposals, bids, and business development activities
- Uphold quality, safety, and sustainability standards throughout
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree and/or Masters in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Chartered (or working toward) with ICE/IStructE, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and contract administration of water distribution systems, including water treatment, in the UK/Ireland
- Considerable proven experience in the design of wastewater collector systems, pumped systems and wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of the Public Works Contracts, FIDIC, local legislation and its application. Knowledge of telemetry/SCADA systems would be an advantage
- Effective communicator and team leader, able to manage multiple priorities
