Main Purpose of the Role

AYBL is seeking a skilled Junior Creative Artworker to produce high-quality artwork, illustrations, and graphics for both apparel and digital content. This is a creative role that requires strong conceptual thinking and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with the Mid-Weight Artworker and collaborate with internal teams—including Womenswear, Menswear Design, and Brand—to ensure all creative assets are original, on-brand, and fully production-ready.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Create high-quality illustrations and graphics for apparel items such as t-shirts, hoodies, and more.
  • Design original graphics, patterns, and prints for upcoming collections.
  • Develop distinctive brand assets, including original logos that reflect AYBL’s identity.
  • Rework and refresh high-performing past designs by updating visuals or layouts, offering customers new options for their favorite products while maintaining brand consistency and appeal.
  • Continuously research and analyse emerging styles, industry trends, and consumer preferences to inform and inspire creative direction.
  • Proactively generate fresh design concepts with a focus on realism, innovation, and brand relevance, ensuring the creative output remains ahead of the curve and aligned with market demands.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in illustration software, including Procreate and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Consistently meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and adapting to changing requirements.
  • Apply strong knowledge of print techniques to ensure all designs are technically sound, production-ready, free from potential production issues, and without any limitations in terms of execution.
  • Ensure all creative work aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members, including brief allocation and first-stage design approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure creative alignment across departments.
  • Support the wider brand team by contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • Respond efficiently to ad hoc design requests from managers, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency.
  • When needed, roll out approved design concepts across various platforms (e.g., brand, marketing), adapting base designs into multiple formats to ensure consistency and brand alignment.

Person Specification

  • Will have a minimum of 1+ years working in a similar role
  • A degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Competent user of Adobe creative suites & Procreate.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of design, artwork, layouts, colour, artwork, print and production.
  • An innovative and creative thinker
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Confident, self-motivated and proactive
