Your Mission

As an Operations Graduate, you’ll be at the heart of our customer journey, guiding clients from their very first interaction with Ayan through onboarding, support, and beyond. You’ll make sure every touchpoint feels smooth, transparent, and aligned with our values, while also keeping the operational gears turning behind the scenes.

Alongside this, you’ll gain exposure to other key areas such as compliance, underwriting, and marketing, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how a high-growth fintech startup operates and scales.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering standout onboarding – Be the first point of contact for new clients, guiding them through the process via phone and email, answering questions, and building lasting trust.
  • Supporting underwriting – Work alongside our Head of Underwriting to collect financial data and see how ethical finance balances with smart risk management.
  • Contributing to growth & marketing – Support our Growth & Marketing coordinator with initiatives that spread the word about Ayan through Social Media and Ads.
  • Reporting & insights – Assist in creating analysis and summaries on client performance, sharing your ideas on how we can improve.
  • Collaborating across teams – Work with product, finance, compliance, and marketing to refine the customer journey and streamline internal processes.
  • Spotting improvements – We value fresh eyes, so you’ll be encouraged to suggest better ways of doing things and contribute ideas that shape the future of Ayan.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recent graduate or current student in the UK, on track for (or achieved) a 2:1 or higher.
  • Strong communication skills – clear, confident, and comfortable in client-facing situations.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a growth mindset.
  • A genuine interest in Islamic or ethical finance – whether through knowledge or the passion to learn and serve an unmet need.

Nice to have:

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working with numbers.
