Ayan Capital is building the future of Islamic Finance. We’re a London-based fintech on a mission to make halal financial products as accessible, competitive, and user-friendly as any conventional offering and better where it counts. Our platform blends the values of Islamic finance with the speed and innovation of modern technology.
Founded by the team behind Alif Bank and backed by institutional investors, we’re aiming high: to become the world’s first truly global Islamic challenger bank. Think everything from car finance to current accounts, all halal and tech-driven. If you’re excited by global ambition, meaningful work, and steep learning curves, this might be the place for you. If things go well, we’ll offer you a full-time role at the end of three months. This internship is designed to be a springboard into a long-term career with us.
This is a hands-on opportunity to join a growing Islamic fintech and support key aspects of the customer journey. As a Graduate Intern, you’ll gain practical experience across client engagement, operations, and underwriting, all essential to delivering a smooth customer experience. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to assist with onboarding, respond to enquiries, and help ensure every interaction reflects the respectful, transparent service we stand for. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about Islamic finance in a real-world setting.
What You’ll Do
- Client Support & Onboarding: Help new customers feel confident and informed as they join Ayan. You’ll guide them through the process via phone and email, answer questions, and build trust from day one.
- Underwriting Support: Work alongside our credit team to collect and review financial documents that inform lending decisions. You’ll see how we balance ethical finance with smart risk management.
- Operations & Compliance: Keep things moving behind the scenes by managing documents, updating records, and supporting compliance checks.
- Internal Reporting: Help generate insights and summaries on client applications and performance, the data we use to improve our service.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across product, compliance, and marketing to help refine the client journey and streamline internal processes.
- Problem-Solving: We’ll encourage you to spot issues, suggest improvements, and speak up. We’re looking for interns who think like future team members.
