Overview
In this role you will lead the planning cycle for a large business unit, delivering forecasts and strategic plans that support growth. You will partner with operational, commercial and finance leaders to translate numbers into actionable insights. You will build robust models and dashboards to drive profitability and resource allocation in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment. You will report to senior leadership and have visibility across the organisation, with opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning across a large business unit
- Develop financial models, scenario plans and performance dashboards
- Provide insightful financial reporting to senior stakeholders highlighting trends, risks and opportunities
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to improve profitability and resource allocation
- Perform variance analyses, forecast reviews and strategic evaluations for growth initiatives
- Build relationships across functions as a trusted finance business partner
- Manage and develop FP&A analysts within the team
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, systems, processes and planning capabilities
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience
- Proven FP&A and business partnering experience in a complex organisation
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills
- Experience in a project-led environment with revenue recognition, WIP, order books and pipeline analysis
- Advanced Excel; exposure to Power BI and Dynamics 365 (positive)
- Strong communication and presentation skills to translate data into commercial insight
- Experience mentoring or managing analysts and building high-performing teams
