Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing business in Stockport to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career within finance, working as part of a supportive team in a varied and hands on role.
You'll gain exposure across a broad range of finance activities, working closely with the wider Finance team and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient financial processing.

Main duties
- Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.
- Supporting the Finance team with month end and year-end processes, including report preparation.
- Assisting with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across internal systems.
- Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
- Working collaboratively with the wider business to ensure efficient processes and a high level of service.
Person specification
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and proactive, with a genuine interest in developing their finance career.
- Previous experience within a finance role or be an Accountancy & Finance graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree.
- Strong numerical accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role.
- Good communication skills and confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
