Axon Moore are working exclusively with a fast growing, people-focused business who are looking to add an HR Assistant to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong HR foundation who’s looking to develop their career and be involved across all areas of HR. Please note, this is a full time role based in Bury. Monday to Friday.
The role: You’ll be providing hands-on HR support across the full employee life cycle, from recruitment and on boarding, to performance, development, and off boarding. You’ll play a key role in keeping HR processes running smoothly and ensuring policies are applied consistently across the business. Day-to-day, this could include:
- Supporting recruitment processes, including posting job adverts, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Managing on boarding for new starters, ensuring all paperwork, system access, and inductions run smoothly.
- Assisting with performance management and development processes, including probation reviews, appraisals, and training records.
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, responding promptly and escalating issues as needed.
- Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including return-to-work interviews, absence management, and probation monitoring.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems and internal databases.
- Running reports from HR systems to support decision-making and compliance.
- Assisting with payroll administration, employee benefits, and incentive schemes.
- Drafting and issuing HR correspondence, such as contract changes, probation outcomes, and policy updates.
- Supporting HR projects and initiatives, such as well being programs, engagement activities, or process improvements.
- Helping ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies, including right-to-work checks and GDPR requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an HR admin role and a good understanding of HR processes and employment law.
- Organised, adaptable, and detail-focused.
- Confident and professional communicator with a friendly approach.
- Comfortable handling confidential information and using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
