Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a fantastic client based in Manchester city centre to appoint a qualified Management Accountant. You’ll join a fast-growing, award-winning professional services business with ambitious growth plans. This is a newly created role within a small and collaborative team, offering the chance to work closely with the department leads, whilst taking ownership of key financial processes. The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and offers genuine opportunities for progression as it continues its expansion.
Salary & Benefits: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE. Hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day home), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 5% matched pension, health cash plan, life assurance, plus many more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly management accounts and VAT returns
- Managing month-end processes and financial reporting
- Maintaining financial records using cloud-based accounting systems
- Monitoring cash flow, banking activities and financial transactions
- Approving office and client account payments in line with regulatory requirements
- Supporting statutory accounts and year-end audit processes
- Managing WIP, invoicing and debt collection
- Acting as the main finance contact for internal stakeholders
- Supporting compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and automation
- Working closely with senior leadership to support business growth
Person Specification:
- Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Experience producing management accounts and managing the month end process
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software (such as Xero) would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Professional approach to finances while working in a fun, collaborative environment
