Axon Moore are working with a well-established business operating across the UK to appoint a Property Accountant to look after part of their portfolio covering residential and commercial sectors. Over the last 15 years, they have amassed a portfolio of over 120 properties and this number keeps on growing.
The role will hold responsibility for the service charge reporting, budgeting and reconciliation for a portfolio of commercial and mixed-use properties. You will join a team of 2 or 3 other Property Accountants, working within a larger team in Finance, to deliver a service to clients and their residents.
Salary and benefits:
Salary - Β£33,000 - Β£38,000 DOE plus study support, hybrid working 2 days from home once settled in the role, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, pension, life assurance x3, C2W, well-being support, discounts app, plus many more!
Responsibilities include:
- Take responsibility of a portfolio of properties.
- Review and analyse expenditure including accruals and prepayments to produce budget vs. actual reports.
- Prepare service charge accounts and associated schedules for auditors and deal with any queries.
- Work with the Property team to establish annual service charge budgets.
- Prepare and process service charge invoices.
- Regular bank reconciliations.
- Assist with any queries from internal and external stakeholders in regard to the financial management of the properties.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Experience in property accounting and service charge reporting is ideal.
- Strong knowledge of excel, being able to manipulate data (vlookups, pivot tables etc).
- Positive attitude and desire to develop professionally.
- Demonstrable high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail.
- Work in a mature, courteous and professional manner.
- Positive approach, committed, reliable and happy to support fellow team members.
