This is a pivotal leadership appointment, working closely with the CEO, Board and Senior Leadership Team to help shape the future direction of the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving profitability, supporting better commercial decision making and building the financial infrastructure required to scale the business and maximise long term value.

Key responsibilities include

  • Partnering with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive commercial performance and strategic decision making.
  • Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, providing meaningful insight across the business.
  • Improving financial visibility, forecasting accuracy and performance reporting.
  • Strengthening margin management, resource utilisation and operational performance.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and commercial performance.
  • Developing financial systems, controls and processes to support sustainable growth.
  • Supporting strategic investment initiatives and potential corporate activity.
  • Building greater commercial awareness and financial accountability across the wider business.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Qualified Finance Director, CFO or senior commercial finance leader with Board level experience.
  • A strong track record of improving commercial performance and profitability.
  • Experience in a people-led business, such as marketing, communications, digital services, consultancy, technology or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of commercial drivers including utilisation, pricing, margin management, forecasting and cash flow.
  • Experience supporting businesses through periods of growth and transformation.
  • Exposure to investment, acquisitions or other strategic transactions would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
