I’m currently working with a well-established retail business based in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic business in a highly visible role within group finance. The position would be particularly well suited to a first-time mover from practice looking to make the transition into industry, offering strong exposure across financial reporting, controls, and stakeholder management within a supportive and commercially focused environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reporting
- Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end processes
- Managing the consolidation of group accounts across multiple entities
- Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with reporting standards
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Driving process improvements and efficiencies across finance operations
- Managing and developing members of the finance team
The client is looking for:
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- A strong technical accounting background, ideally trained within practice
- Previous experience within audit, financial reporting, or group reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within retail or multi-site environments would be advantageous but not essential
