I am delighted to now be exclusively recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager position working for a fast growing SAAS business in Leeds City Centre! This business was founded 7 years ago, and has since gone through some phenomenal growth. They have trebled their headcount in 8 months across both the UK and internationally and are aiming to be at 150 staff by the end of 2026!

This role will be number 2 to the Financial Controller and oversee the finance team (team of 3). The role will be a "roll your sleeves up" hands on and commercially focused Finance Manager role within a very busy, high growth and fast paced owner managed SME. The role will include producing management accounts, reporting, cashflow, FP&A, modelling and a heavy involvement in process improvements - making things slicker and more automated and extracting and manipulating data so that it can be translated into meaningful analysis to aid in key decision making and driving the business forward.

The role offers the opportunity to really add value from day 1 - working autonomously (but supported) and putting your own stamp on things in an exciting and growing Tech SME! The longer term vision is that this person will step up into an FC role within 12-18 months so there is a path to the FC is very much in clear sight from day 1!

Key Duties
  • Deliver accurate, timely and insightful management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary that guides commercial decision‑making.
  • Own cash flow management, ensuring the business is well‑positioned to scale and has the visibility needed for strong financial planning.
  • Strengthen financial controls, improve processes and maintain high standards of governance across the finance function.
  • Play an active role in budgeting and forecasting, working closely with the Financial Controller to model financial performance and support strategic planning.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, driving efficiencies and enhancing the control environment.
  • Support the year‑end process, including coordination with external accountants and ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and opportunities for streamlining.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, providing clarity, narrative and insight that enhances financial understanding across the business.
Candidate Profile
  • Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong technical grounding and commercial awareness.
  • Have experience in a fast‑paced, growing environment (software, SaaS or tech desirable but not essential).
  • Be a confident "translator of numbers" - turning data into clear, useful insight.
  • Have strong financial reporting skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a high personal standard of accuracy.
