The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for managing the consolidated debt ledger for the company, developing strategy for driving forward debt collection, and implementing continuous improvements around systems and processes.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for a team of credit controllers working across multiple ledgers, including both domestic and international accounts
- Agreeing targets with the team on a monthly basis and supporting them to deliver
- Responsible for a multi-million pound/dollar debt book
- Proactive, driving continuous improvement and credit control strategy
- Credit check all new business and generate the ERP account
- Proactively chase all debts via telephone and email
- Issue statements
- Complex query resolution
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes on the Credit Control system
- Post all cash to the sales ledger and accurately allocate on a daily basis
- Account reconciliations
- Regular reporting to senior finance leadership
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Significant credit control experience, dealing with major accounts
- Previous management experience desirable, but not essential
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership for the department and its deadlines
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Confident, with strong analytical skills
