Axon Moore are delighted to be supporting a fast growing c£150m turnover business to recruit a qualified Commercial Finance Manager to join their team in Hull. My client is looking for a highly commercially minded qualified accountant, who can really get into the numbers, build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, and bring the kind of financial acumen that goes well beyond month-end reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owning the financial narrative behind major bids and commercial proposals - building the models, testing the assumptions, and making the numbers tell the right story
  • Developing scenario and risk analysis that gives the business real confidence when making investment and operational decisions
  • Partnering with senior leaders, service heads and key stakeholders to inform strategy, not just report on it
  • Turning financial complexity into clear, compelling insight that non-finance teams can act on
  • Driving value across the organisation by identifying efficiency opportunities and supporting cost improvement initiatives
  • Keeping a close eye on budgets, forecasts and emerging financial risks and making sure the right people know about them early.

About you:

  • You’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial analysis, modelling and business partnering
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other modelling tools
  • Brings a commercial mindset
