Commercial Management Accountant in Halifax

We’re working with a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Halifax that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Management Accountant to support financial reporting, operational performance and commercial decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to work closely with operational teams and senior management, providing meaningful financial insight, improving profitability and supporting the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Analyse performance, variances, costs, margins and profitability. Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Partner with operational teams to monitor budgets, KPIs and performance. Analyse manufacturing costs, stock, inventory and production variances. Support pricing, cost control, cash flow and working capital management. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls. Manage month-end processes, year-end accounts, audit and VAT requirements. Provide commercial insights to support business decisions and improve profitability. Improve financial reporting processes, systems and management information. The Ideal Candidate ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or QBE. Experience in management or commercial accounting, ideally within manufacturing. Strong management accounting, month-end reporting and cost analysis skills. Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Good understanding of manufacturing costs, stock accounting and margins. Strong Excel, financial systems and reporting skills. Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities. Confident communicator, able to work with finance and non-finance teams. Proactive, commercially minded and focused on improving business performance.
