A prominent South Yorkshire business is seeking a Group CFO to join at a time of growth for the business. The Group CFO will support the CEO and aid its expansion and future prosperity.
This is a key strategic role, and will help shape the future direction of the business, as well as lead the day to day finance function.
This is a full time role and the expectation is that this person is a visible leader, deputising for the CEO on occasion, and is therefore required to be present in the office 5 days per week. Being based in close proximity to South Yorkshire is therefore a fundamental requirement.
They are seeking an individual who has a range of skills, which may involve growth, M&A or corporate restructuring, so the business can be positioned in the best place possible for future expansion.
Key duties will include:
- Steering the business through growth and assessing the various funding options available
- Working with the C-Suite team to drive an expansion plan
- Ensuring robust financial controls frameworks are in place and adhered to
- Mentoring the members of the finance function
- Overseeing other back office functions of the business
- Ensuring the board have the necessary insight to make sound business decisions
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified finance leader with experience as an FD/CFO within an SME
- A track record of helping a business achieve growth and expansion
- Able to manage a range of external stakeholders, skilfully and diplomatically ensuring all interests are met and the business has key relationships in place to enable growth
- Possessing gravitas and influencing ability to drive and affect change
