Are you looking to build a career in finance with a business that will support your development? I am recruiting for a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Administrator to join an established and successful business based in Bradford. This is a great opportunity for someone with some purchase ledger or finance experience who is keen to develop their skills and work towards an AAT qualification.

The role

Working as part of the finance team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, while supporting the wider finance function. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase ledger transactions accurately and on time
  • Processing personal expenses and bank transactions
  • Investigating and resolving purchase ledger queries
  • Working with the wider team to ensure issues are dealt with promptly
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service
  • Supporting the finance team with general duties as required

About you

We’re looking for someone who is numerate, organised and keen to develop a career in finance. You’ll ideally have:

  • Some previous purchase ledger or finance administration experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Excel and general IT skills
  • The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • A positive, customer-focused approach
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • A genuine interest in progressing within finance and the ambition to study AAT.
