The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, contributing to the efficiency of the purchase ledger and wider month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process supplier invoices using both internal systems and external workflows, ensuring alignment with job codes and cost allocations.
Investigate and resolve invoice queries by liaising with internal departments or external suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate closely with Purchase Ledger Assistants to ensure all invoices are received and ready for scheduled payment runs.
Maintain and manage supplier accounts paid via direct debit, ensuring all transactions are accurately allocated to the correct invoices.
Support the finance team in meeting strict month-end deadlines, ensuring all relevant tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Candidate specification:
A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
Currently studying AAT or a recent graduate in Accountancy and Finance (or similar discipline)
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Willingness to grow and progress within a fast-paced finance environment
