Transactional Finance Manager in Chorley

Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well‑established and growing business in Chorley to recruit a new Transactional Finance Manager. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £50,000 with a flexible hybrid working arrangement on offer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a small transactional finance team covering AR, AP, credit cards and petty cash
• Ensure accurate, timely processing of sales and purchasing transactions
• Strengthen controls, improve efficiency and support reliable cashflow and reporting
• Act as the main escalation point for internal teams and suppliers
• Work closely with Procurement to support strong purchasing discipline
• Drive process improvement, data quality and KPI performance across P2P
• Support month‑end close and contribute to better financial governance
• Shape and develop the transactional finance function in a newly created role

Key Objectives

• Take ownership of day‑to‑day transactional delivery across ledgers
• Manage sales processing, debtor monitoring and simple credit control routines
• Maintain accurate supplier records and safeguard bank detail changes
• Oversee corporate card and petty cash reconciliation and compliance
• Allocate workload, coach team members and build cross‑cover capability
• Reduce disputes, aged creditors and processing exceptions
• Support reporting and dashboard insight to inform decisions
• Contribute to improvement, automation and systems development initiatives
