We’re partnering with a highly successful and ambitious business that has built an enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. With a market-leading product offering, a portfolio of major strategic clients and an increasingly international footprint, the business has enjoyed significant growth and, as revenues approach £100m, is entering the next phase of its evolution.
Building on the foundations that have made it successful to date, the organisation is evolving into a highly scalable, project-centric solutions provider, combining best-in-class products with enhanced project delivery, customer experience and service capabilities to support long-term growth in the UK and international markets.
Following significant investment in systems, people and infrastructure, the focus is now on building the operational capability, governance and scalability required to support continued growth whilst maintaining the customer experience and commercial performance that underpin the business's success.
Working as part of a sharp, collaborative and ambitious board, the COO will help shape the operational strategy, support international expansion and identify opportunities to further strengthen the company’s long-term growth trajectory. This is a role for a leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution; someone capable of building structure and accountability whilst remaining close enough to the detail to understand the levers that drive customer satisfaction, profitability and growth.
Key priorities will include:
- Further improving customer experience, OTIF performance and service delivery
- Leveraging ERP and operational data to improve forecasting and decision-making
- Protecting and improving gross margins through operational efficiency and commercial discipline
- Reducing lead times and increasing operational agility
- Building scalable systems, processes and governance to support future growth
- Supporting the evolution of the business towards a more project and solutions-led model
- Creating the operational platform required to support further international expansion
You will be commercially minded, data-driven and execution focused, with the ability to lead through influence, develop high-performing teams and create momentum across a growing organisation. Just as importantly, you will embody the qualities of a humble leader; someone who values transparency, accountability and continuous improvement over politics and ego.
