I’m currently partnering with a well-established FMCG business in Bradford that is looking to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to take a key role in driving financial performance, providing insight to senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Reporting to the Finance Director / Head of FP&A, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, and commercial insight. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand performance, identify trends and opportunities, and translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations. This is a varied and high-impact role within a fast-paced FMCG environment, offering excellent exposure to senior leadership and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Producing accurate monthly management reports, forecasts, and performance analysis
  • Analysing financial and commercial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Providing insightful commentary and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Business partnering with commercial, sales, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and investment decisions
  • Monitoring KPIs, profitability, margins, costs, and working capital performance
  • Supporting long-term financial planning and wider commercial strategy
  • Improving reporting processes, forecasting accuracy, and the use of financial data across the business
  • Presenting financial insight to senior stakeholders in a clear and commercially focused manner

About you:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous experience within FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting, or a similar analytical finance role
  • Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight
  • Confident business partner with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or another fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous
