My client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bradford, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is studying (or looking to study) AAT/CIMA/ACCA and wants hands-on exposure within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end process and wider financial operations. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
- Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with cost analysis and variance reporting
- Supporting year-end audit requirements
- Helping streamline processes and improve financial controls
- General finance admin and ad-hoc reporting
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Part-qualified or actively studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA (study support provided)
- Experienced in a finance or accounting role, ideally within manufacturing (not essential)
- Analytical, detail-focused and eager to learn
- Confident using Excel and accounting software
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
