Axon Moore have partnered with a high-growth accounting firm, based in Bolton, as they seek to bolster their team with the addition of Semi-Senior Tax Accountant.
This is a fully office-based role so candidates must live within a commutable distance to Bolton. Moreover, as team-spirit and culture-fit is paramount to this business, candidates must be personable, confident and able to develop long-standing working relationships.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:- Prepare and review accounts and initial tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and individuals.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date records for HMRC & Companies House submissions.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
- Advise clients on the tax implications of business transactions and financial decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated services to clients.
- Contribute to firm’s business development efforts, including attending networking events and generating new client leads.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance client service delivery.

- 2 years’ experience in a tax role (desired).
- Pursuing AAT qualification (desired).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations and legislation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced IT and MS Excel skills.
- Good knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QB, Sage etc.).
