We are working with a PE backed, growing business looking for a proactive and detail driven Group Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a pivotal role within the business, offering broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and commercial analysis. You will take ownership of key financial processes, support strategic decision making, and play a vital role in driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of month‑end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Supervise x2 Assistant Accountants
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors
- Maintain well‑organised audit files and financial records
- Prepare and submit VAT and IOSS returns accurately and on time
- Ensure full compliance with relevant tax regulations
- Regularly assess internal financial controls and recommend improvements
- Review business expenditure and identify cost‑saving opportunities
- Collaborate with departments to implement efficiency improvements
- Support the development of reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Contribute to pricing reviews, commercial analysis, and decision‑making
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or finalist
- Strong experience in management accounts and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
