This is a brilliant opportunity for someone currently studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA, with previous experience in transactional finance, who is now looking to gain broader exposure across month-end and develop into a more rounded management accountant over time.

Location: South Manchester + Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + Study Support
Role Overview:
As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close and day-to-day finance operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily reconciliation of rental income
Full ownership of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Preparation of weekly KPI reporting packs
Month-end duties including accruals, prepayments and journal postings
Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support year-end audit queries and preparation
Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Actively studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or high-volume transactional finance role
Comfortable working in a multi-entity environment
Proactive, with strong attention to detail and xiskglj a hands-on approach
Confident communicator, both written and verbal
Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are desirable
