Job Description Finance Business Partner | £60,000 + Up to 100% Bonus + Car Allowance | South Manchester | Hybrid Working I am delighted to be exclusively partnering with a highly acquisitive, PE-backed investment firm based in Manchester that is at a pivotal stage in its growth journey. Following continued expansion and a highly successful acquisition strategy, the business is seeking to strengthen its finance function with the appointment of a Finance Business Partner. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a lean, high-calibre team and gain exceptional exposure across both the Group and its investment portfolio. To support your development and understanding of the wider business, you will initially spend time within the Group Finance team, gaining exposure to the firm's operations, senior leadership team and investment strategy. During this period, you will also play a key role in a major Group Treasury transformation programme following a significant refinancing, providing valuable exposure to cash optimisation, banking structures, liquidity management and treasury best practice across a portfolio of 55+ businesses. Following this initial six-month period, you will transition into a dedicated Finance Business Partner role, acting as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of investments and partnering closely with business owners, finance leaders and investment directors to drive performance and value creation. As a Finance Business Partner, you will: Build strong relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders across the portfolio. Provide commercial analysis, financial insight and performance reporting to support decision-making. Partner with finance teams and investment directors to identify opportunities and drive value creation. Act as a key link between the investment firm and its portfolio businesses. Support strategic projects and acquisitions as the business continues its impressive growth trajectory. Unlike traditional Finance Business Partner positions, this role offers a structured introduction to the wider Group. Spend time within the Group Finance team to gain a broad understanding of the organisation. Work closely with senior finance leadership and investment professionals. Support a high-profile Treasury transformation project during your first six months. Gain exposure to Group-wide initiatives covering cash management, banking infrastructure, liquidity optimisation and forecasting processes. Develop a deep understanding of the Group's investment portfolio before taking ownership of key stakeholder relationships. You'll be encouraged to manage your own diary, spend time with stakeholders and regularly visit portfolio businesses to develop meaningful partnerships.
