Job Purpose
Responsible for the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, including all supporting schedules, reconciliations, and statutory submissions. The role also supports quarterly reporting requirements and the year-end audit process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts within strict deadlines, including accruals, prepayments, and detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Review financial performance and investigate significant variances, providing clear commentary and insight.
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations in line with reporting timetables, ensuring any discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Maintain oversight of aged debtor and creditor balances, ensuring regular reviews and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Support the preparation of comprehensive management reporting packs.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities within the P&L and balance sheet that may impact forecasts.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing accurate and timely information to support audit processes.
- Ensure queries are resolved efficiently.
