The Opportunity

We are partnering with an ambitious, entrepreneurial and internationally growing business to appoint a commercially focused Head of People. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful organisation at a pivotal stage in its growth journey. The business is investing in its people capability and organisational infrastructure to support the next phase of growth. Operating internationally across the UK, Europe and North America, the business is looking for an experienced People leader who can help build the organisational capability, leadership infrastructure and scalable people practices required for continued expansion. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the Founder and Executive Leadership Team, this is a highly visible and influential role with genuine scope to shape the future People agenda.

The Role

As Head of People, you will lead the development and delivery of a commercially focused People strategy aligned to the organisation's ambitious growth plans. This is a broad and hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who is equally comfortable operating strategically with senior stakeholders while remaining close to the operational detail. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering a People strategy aligned to business growth
  • Partnering with the Founder, CFO and Executive Leadership Team
  • Leading organisational development and change initiatives
  • Supporting organisational design and workforce planning
  • Building scalable HR processes, systems and infrastructure
  • Developing leadership capability and succession planning
  • Leading performance management and employee relations frameworks
  • Reviewing recruitment strategy, employer brand and employee value proposition
  • Developing reward, recognition and benefits initiatives
  • Supporting international operations across the UK, Europe and North America
  • Supporting transformation, acquisition and integration activity where required
  • Building a high-performing and commercially focused People function

About You

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR leader who enjoys working within ambitious, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environments. You will ideally have experience in:

  • A senior HR leadership role, such as Head of People, People Director or Senior HR Business Partner
  • High-growth, founder-led, entrepreneurial or owner-managed businesses
  • Building and developing scalable People functions and HR infrastructure
  • Organisational development and business transformation
  • Partnering with Executive and senior leadership teams
  • Complex employee relations and people governance
  • Supporting organisational growth and change
  • International and/or multi-site operations

Experience within manufacturing, operational or production-led environments would be advantageous, as would exposure to acquisitions or business integration.
