Part-Time Management Accountant

Part-time Management Accountant | Barnsley | £50k-£60k FTE  Delighted to be support a well-established, private equity-backed business in Barnsley who is looking to appoint a Part-Time Management Accountant to support its finance function on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role offering genuine flexibility around working hours and days, ideal for someone looking to maintain professional impact while balancing other commitments.Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting across departments
• Financial reporting and variance analysis
• Payroll oversight and coordination
• Credit control and cash flow monitoring
• Ownership of P&L and balance sheet
• Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis and reporting

Experience required: 

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME 
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Commercially aware, with the ability to interpret financial data and support decision-making
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
• Available to work 2–3 days per week, with a minimum of 16 hours
• Open to flexible start and finish times
