Axon Moore is delighted to have exclusively partnered with a long-term client who is looking to bolster their finance team with the addition of a Group Reporting Manager. As a consequence of both organic growth and M&A, our client has formed a group structure and is looking to establish a best-in-class function to support the lofty ambitions of the Group as they continue their impressive growth story.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the position will hold a broad set of responsibilities, with a core focus on consolidated group reporting (an essential background for any applicant). However, the role has plenty of exposure across the business, and therefore, we are looking for those with a commercial acumen and strong stakeholder skillset to support the rapid progression of the finance function. Therefore, the position is going to ideally suit an ACA Manager, looking to make an exit into industry for the first time, or someone seeking their second industry move.
The role is predominantly remote, but having originated from South Manchester, there is a requirement to meet in the office occasionally and travel down to London periodically. Having worked with the business for several years, we can say with confidence that it is a fantastic place to work, with plenty opportunity to progress rapidly. With a fast recruitment process planned, we’re looking for driven, ambitious individuals who are excited by the opportunity to make a real impact and accelerate their career.
Main Duties:- Lead the preparation of the Group’s monthly consolidated management accounts, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
- Produce annual consolidated statutory financial statements in line with all relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the FRS 102 to IFRS conversion project.
- Support the external audit process and serve as a key liaison for auditors when required.
- Coordinate with external advisors on tax matters and other specialist accounting engagements.
- Prepare detailed monthly reporting packs for investors and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain consistent application and integrity of accounting policies across all entities within the Group.
- Provide high-quality financial data and insights to support investment evaluations and decision-making.
- Carry out ad hoc financial analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement across the Group.
- Play an active role in enhancing financial reporting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including hands-on experience in consolidated reporting.
- Experience gained in a practice environment (Big 4 or mid-tier preferred), with exposure to complex group structures.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial information.
- Commercially aware, able to convert financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and adapting to evolving priorities.
- Effective communicator with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and investors.
This is a great opportunity to work for a company experiencing strong growth. The role can offer a long-term career and fast development opportunities.
