Axon Moore are pleased to be working alongside a highly-valued, industry-leading client as they look to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant to their dynamic team. This role will take ownership for the management accounts of a divisional business and will be responsible for two direct reports below.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the divisional business, including profit & loss, variance analysis, and reconciliation work
  • Analyse performance of key cost areas
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Manage transactional activity, i.e. AP, AR and cash management across division
  • Monitor KPIs, reporting and analysis
  • Assist in producing reports for senior management and the board
  • Contribute to process improvements and continual improvement practice
  • Assist with external audits
  • Support year-end procedures
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Additional ad-hoc tasks requested by Financial Controller

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Qualified
  • Able to develop and maintain good internal and external working relationships
  • Able to efficiently manage a high-volume workload
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and organised
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively
