A privately owned SME in Lincoln is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function. This is a newly created role within a £2m turnover business with clear growth ambitions, offering the chance to make a real impact and shape how finance supports the next phase of development. Working three or four days per week, you’ll be the go-to person for all financial operations – ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being close to the detail.
The role includes:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Allocating receipts and payments
- Posting journals and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Chasing outstanding debt
- Completing VAT returns
- Managing the relationship with the bank
- Supporting additional tasks such as overseeing outsourced payroll
- Overseeing 2 direct reports
About you:
- Experience in bookkeeping or a similar hands-on finance role
- Qualification status flexible – fully qualified, part qualified or QBE all considered
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, positive approach
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
