This is an ideal role for an ambitious analyst looking to develop into a trusted business partner, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver meaningful commercial insight.

The Opportunity You'll play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable intelligence, helping the business understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed commercial decisions.

Working across finance and operational teams, you'll analyse trends, challenge assumptions and provide recommendations that influence business direction.

No two days are the same—one day you could be building insightful dashboards, the next supporting budgeting and forecasting or identifying new opportunities to improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities Commercial Reporting & Insight

  • Produce engaging KPI dashboards and management reports that drive decision-making.
  • Analyse commercial, financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop insightful reporting across customers, products and departments.
  • Monitor key business metrics and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings confidently to stakeholders, translating complex data into meaningful business insight.
  • Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis to support senior leadership.
  • Data & Business Intelligence
  • Extract, manipulate and analyse data from multiple business systems.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and reliable.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and data quality.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve efficiency.
  • Develop new dashboards and reports to meet evolving business needs.
  • Commercial Finance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Carry out cost, margin and profitability analysis.
  • Provide analytical support for commercial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with the wider finance team to deliver valuable commercial reporting.

  • Build strong relationships across the business to understand reporting requirements.
  • Challenge existing processes and identify smarter ways of working.

About You We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially aware and passionate about using data to solve business challenges.
You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and complex formulas.
  • Experience analysing large datasets from multiple sources.
  • The ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to improve processes and influence business performance.

Desirable Experience

  • Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • ERP or finance systems.
  • Budgeting, forecasting or financial reporting.
  • Commercial, operational or procurement reporting.
