Axon Moore are working with a large business based on the outskirts of Tameside to recruit a Part/Nearly/Newly Qualified Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company who are currently at around £70m t/o with ambition to grow to £100m by 2030. This role will provide the opportunity to be mentored by a high calibre FC and FD. You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts as well as budgeting and all aspects of the month end process. You will be challenged to bring fresh ideas and challenge processes in a forward thinking, collaborative team.
Salary and benefits:
- Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 DOE plus ACCA/CIMA study support
- Hybrid working 3 days in the office
- 9.30-3.30 core hours with bags of flexibility

Responsibilities include:
- Production of the monthly management accounts pack for review by the SLT
- Balance sheet reconciliation, journal processing and P&L reporting
- Production and ownership of the annual budget
- Full control and responsibility of the cashflow
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Supporting the finance team where possible
- Key customer account set up, ensuring accuracy
- Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors
- Any ad-hoc work and project work as required
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role – Manufacturing would be desirable
- Part/nearly/fully qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLookup/Pivot tables/graphs) are essential
- Driven to progress, succeed in the role and a good team player
- Good commercial awareness with good stakeholder management skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail - into the whys behind the numbers
- Work in a mature, courteous and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
