Axon Moore are partnering with a PE-backed business in Wigan to recruit a Group Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong ACA or ACCA qualified accountant looking to join a growing business in a broad and varied Group finance role, offering exposure to statutory reporting, audit, controls, and senior stakeholder interaction.
The Role
As Group Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate statutory and financial reporting across the Group, whilst supporting the ongoing development of financial controls and processes. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will gain broad exposure across reporting, compliance, audit, and commercial finance activities within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group and subsidiaries
- Managing the external audit process and liaising with auditors
- Supporting tax compliance activities including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and related submissions
- Assisting with the development and improvement of financial controls and reporting processes
- Supporting monthly Group reporting, consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and treasury activities
- Assisting with Companies House and HMRC filings
- Supporting wider finance projects and ad-hoc business initiatives
