We are currently recruiting for an experienced accountant looking for a high-impact role with real influence and visibility. We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, global business based in Blackburn, seeking a technically strong Group Accountant to join their finance team.
The Role:
As Group Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate group financial reporting, consolidations, and statutory accounts. You’ll support the Finance Director and senior stakeholders with insightful analysis and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of various financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy. This includes reporting requirements of US parent.
- Ownership of the Group’s consolidated accounts.
- Manage monthly closing process, including overseeing reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
- Coordinate the Company's annual UK, EU and UAE audits with the external auditors.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
- Adhoc tasks where required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with group consolidations
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
